A reminder of why toffee is not a way to get published

This has remained one of the most popular posts in the three years of this blog's life, so I thought I'd let you see it again. Although it's fun to read, there's a very serious point to it. Take note!

Loved it! And also Jane Smith’s comment, although it brought scary images to mind. I had no idea there were so many hazards involved in editorial work...

It's such a shame the toffee approach doesn't work, isn't it. Though I think we'd see many agents suddenly becoming obese if it did!
